suitable when a deeper, darker and more expressive look is desired.
Due to its slightly rough texture, the primer already defines the surface structure before the Effect Paint is applied. Depending on
whether the primer is applied evenly or more irregularly, the final surface can look rustic and lively or smooth and harmonious.
The primer does not need to be applied evenly. In fact, an intentionally uneven application can
enhance the natural and decorative effect. For a more uniform finish, it can also be applied smoothly.
The Effect Primer has been specially developed for use underneath Effect Paint and should not be skipped, as it is essential for adhesion,
appearance and the overall decorative result. Coverage varies depending on the surface,
thickness of application and painting technique, but is approximately 10 to 18 m².
Application on walls
The surface must be clean, dry and stable. Apply the Grey Primer evenly over the entire area and allow it to dry fully.
Stir the Effect Paint gently and dab it onto the surface with a brush. Depending on the technique,
the finish can appear more even or more natural with visible light veils and a stone like texture.
Leaving the light veils visible creates a particularly authentic natural stone effect.
The paint remains workable for a relatively long time, making it ideal for blending and combining different shades.
Application on furniture
The Grey Primer is also an ideal base for furniture projects using Effect Paint.
For a durable and protected finish, furniture surfaces should be sealed with a suitable varnish after drying.
